Shutdown & Project Equipment Hire
Planned shutdowns create a short, high-demand window where additional machines, spare capacity and coordinated delivery can protect the programme.
Common reasons to hire
- Planned plant shutdowns
- Multi-machine project requirements
- Standby and replacement units
- Longer cable and accessory packages

Parweld APT+ 503S Water-Cooled MIG Welder
A heavy-duty 500A industrial MIG system for thick-section fabrication, structural work and high-volume production. The package is paired with the APT-907 water cooler for extended duty and water-cooled torch operation. Guide rate £150 per week + VAT.
HMT Steelbor V125T Heavy-Duty Magnetic Drill
A heavy-duty portable magnetic drill for large-diameter broaching and tapping. With capacity up to 125mm and M32, it is intended for demanding industrial and structural applications. Guide rate £120 per week + VAT.
Planning the package
Send the equipment schedule, dates, shifts, site contacts, delivery windows and power plan as early as possible.
Why hire instead of buy for the project?
- Match cost to the contract or shutdown period
- Add capacity without a long-term capital commitment
- Access a specialist process or output range
- Create a backup plan for critical deadlines
- Combine equipment, accessories and transport in one written quotation
Safety and competence
The hirer remains responsible for site risk assessment, competent operation, permits, ventilation or extraction, PPE, safe power and air supplies, daily checks and secure storage. SGL Hire provides machine information and handover support but does not replace the customer’s project-specific safe system of work.
