Safe magnetic drilling
- Use the supplied safety strap or secondary restraint.
- The magnet needs suitable ferrous material, adequate thickness and a clean flat contact area.
- Do not rely on the magnet on thin, curved, painted, rusty or contaminated steel without an engineered solution.
- Secure work, control swarf and coolant, and keep cables clear.
- Use the correct cutter speed, pilot pin and lubricant.
