Welding and cutting fume

All welding fume can create serious health risks. Indoor welding normally requires suitable local exhaust ventilation, with respiratory protection where extraction does not adequately control exposure. Outdoor welding may require suitable respiratory protection because local exhaust ventilation is generally ineffective.

Electrical and engine-driven equipment

Use a competent person to confirm sockets, protection, generators, earthing, RCDs, cable ratings and distribution. Engine-driven equipment must not be used in enclosed or poorly ventilated areas and must be controlled for fuel, exhaust, hot surfaces, fire and noise.

Gas cylinders

Compressed gas cylinders are supplied under separate Sultani Gas or SGL Online arrangements. Cylinders must be transported, secured, stored and used in accordance with the supplier agreement, labels and applicable guidance.
