Equipment Return Checklist

A complete and orderly return helps close the hire quickly and avoids missing-item or redelivery charges.

Before return

  • Confirm the return date or collection time
  • Switch off, isolate and allow equipment to cool
  • Remove customer wire, electrodes and personal items
  • Return fuel-powered units at the agreed fuel level
  • Charge battery equipment where reasonably possible
  • Collect every torch, lead, regulator, feeder, cooler, case, key and manual
  • Report faults, damage or missing items before return

Condition

Normal wear is expected. Do not conceal damage or attempt unauthorised repairs. Equipment does not need cosmetic detailing, but should be reasonably free from excessive mud, debris, swarf and contamination so it can be inspected safely.

Return inspection

SGL Hire checks identity, quantity, visible condition, function, fuel or charge and missing accessories. Additional charges are supported by inspection records and repair or replacement costs.
